1937 Velocette KSS MkII

Year Built : 1936-1947

Engine : 348cc single cylinder, single overhead camshaft. Bore and stroke 74mm X 81mm

Transmission : 4 speed foot change gearbox

Frame and Suspension : Full cradle frame, Webb heavy weight forks and rigid rear

Dimensions : 3 ½ Gallon petrol tank, 55” wheelbase, 4 ¾” ground clearance, weight 340lbs

Performance : 78mph in standard trim

1953 Velocette MAC

Year Built : 1952-1960

Engine : 349cc single cylinder, overhead valve. Bore and stroke 68mm X 96mm.

Compression ratio 6.75-1. 15 bhp at 5,500 rpm

Transmission : 4 speed foot change gearbox

Frame and Suspension : Velocette oil damped telescopic forks and adjustable rear sprung cradle frame with Woodhead-Munroe rear units

Dimensions : 3 Gallon petrol tank, 53 ¾ ” wheelbase, 5 ½ ” ground clearance, weight 355lbs

Performance : 77mph in standard trim. ¼ mile in 18.8 seconds. 65mpg at 50mph

The first Velocette model to have a rear spring, RS, frame, took Veloce into a new era. The early models had no sidecar lugs and should have a burgess type silencer, not the more common Fishtail silencer as found on most other Velocettes. Over 5,700 RS MAC’s were produced from late 1952 until 1961.

1954 Velocette MSS

1959 Velocette Venom Clubman

Year Built : 1959-1966

Engine : 499cc single cylinder, overhead valve. Bore and stroke 86mm X 86mm.

Compression ratio 8.75-1. 23 to 38 bhp at 6,200 rpm

Frame and Suspension : Velocette oil damped telescopic forks and adjustable rear sprung cradle frame

1960 Velocette Viper

1967 Velocette MSS

The later models like this were made to order, but they had the later modifications to the engine like the late Venoms and Thruxtons, such as one piece push rod tunnel, extra oil drain in the timing side crankcase, lighter flywheels, crankcase breather and larger 4 ¼ gallon Clubman petrol tank.
