DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND, WE ARE NOW OFFERING TO REPAIR THE AUTOMATIC TIMING DEVICE UNITS ON BOTH THE LUCAS AND BTH MAGNETOS. A FEW YEARS BACK WE BOUGHT THE BUSINESS FROM MR J HALES, WHO AS I'M SURE MOST OF YOU KNOW, HE HAD BEEN MAKING AND REPAIRING ATD UNITS FOR MANY MANY YEARS.

SO WE ARE NOW OFFERING THIS SERVICE FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ORIGINAL TUFNOL GEAR WITH A NEW STEEL GEAR. (THE STEEL GEAR WILL NEED TO BE BOUGHT SEPERATE, SEE LINK BELOW) IF YOUR ATD NEEDS FURTHER WORK THAN JUST THE DRIVE GEAR REPLACEMENT, THEN THERE MAYBE FURTHER LABOUR COSTS, BUT THIS WILL GET YOU TWO HOURS OF SERVICE TIME. WE HAVE A GOOD SELECTION OF NEW SPARES FOR THE UNITS

ALTHOUGH WE ARE A VELOCETTE SPECIALIST, THE ATD UNITS FROM OTHER MAKES ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS WORK, SO TRIUMPH, BSA, VINCENT, AIREL, MATCHLESS ETC, ANYTHING WITH AN ATD UNIT WHERE NEW DRIVE GEARS ARE AVAILABLE. WE WILL SOON BE OFFERING A LIGHT WEIGHT STEEL GEAR, WE ARE JUST WAITING ON GETTING A BATCH OF HELICAL GEAR BLANKS MADE AT A GEAR CUTTERS AND THEN THE REST OF THE WORK TO LIGHTEN THE GEARS WILL BE DONE IN HOUSE. THIS ALSO APPLIES FOR A VERNIER TYPE TIMING GEAR, THE SAME ONES THAT CRITERION ENGINEERING USED TO MAKE MANY YEARS AGO. PLEASE GET IN TOUCH IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THESE.

Our range of services enables us to offer a comprehensive and professional restoration and renovation for your motorcycle including spares for the wide range of Velocette motorcycles. Work includes full restoration of all parts, supply of new and used parts, vapour blasting, gearbox and engine work, professional paintwork and stove enamelling, magneto and dynamo overhaul and wheel building.

We also build made to order Clubmanised Velocette Venoms, taking your donor bike or supplying a donor bike and fully rebuilding the bike from the ground up, building the bike to your own specification. Please get in touch for further details.
